If you're also getting color, it's generally best to do color first and add a treatment after. For Keratin, plan to complete any color work first, then wait before your treatment appointment.

After Your Appointment

Wait 48+ Hours After Keratin to Wash

After a Keratin Treatment, avoid washing, tying, or clipping your hair for at least 48 hours. This allows the treatment to fully bond to the hair shaft for lasting results.

Use Sulfate-Free Shampoo

Sulfate-free shampoos extend the life of all our treatments—especially Keratin. They cleanse gently without stripping the treatment from your hair.

Schedule Regular Treatments

Deep Conditioning is great monthly or added to color services. Keratin lasts approximately 4 months. Bond Pro can be added to any salon appointment—your stylist will help you build a schedule.

Minimize Heat Styling

After any treatment, reducing frequent heat styling helps maintain the benefits longer. When you do use hot tools, always use a heat protectant.
