Why Choose Partial Highlights

Perfect balance of dimension and value

Maximum Impact, Lower Cost

Partial highlights focus on the top section of your hair—the most visible area—giving you beautiful dimension where it matters most, at a more affordable price than full highlights.

Natural Frame

By highlighting from ear to ear and fringe to crown, we create a natural frame around your face that brightens your features and adds movement to your style.

Versatile Option

Partial highlights work great as a standalone service or as maintenance between full highlight appointments. They're perfect for keeping your highlights fresh without the full commitment.

Highlight Care Tips

How to prepare for your appointment and protect your highlights at home

Before Your Appointment

Arrive with Clean, Dry Hair

Come to your appointment with clean hair and no heavy styling products. Product build-up can interfere with even lightener application.

Bring Inspiration Photos

Save photos of highlight styles you love—and ones you don't. This helps us understand the exact look you're after, from placement to tone.

Share Your Color History

Let us know about any previous highlights, box color, or chemical treatments. This helps us choose the safest, most effective approach for your hair.

Plan Enough Time

Highlight services range from about 1.5 hours (mini-partial) to 3+ hours (balayage or full highlights). Schedule your day accordingly so you're not rushed.

After Your Appointment

Wait 24–48 Hours Before Washing

Give your toner and lightener time to fully settle. Your first wash can lift freshly deposited tone, so waiting helps the color last longer.

Use Color-Safe, Sulfate-Free Shampoo

Sulfate-free shampoos are gentler on highlighted hair and help preserve your tone between appointments. We'll recommend options that work for your specific highlights.

Use Purple or Blue Shampoo as Needed

For blonde or lightened highlights, a purple or blue shampoo used once a week helps neutralize brassiness and keep your tone fresh.

Protect from Heat and UV

Use a heat protectant before hot tools and consider a UV-protecting hair product for time in the Colorado sun, which can fade highlights over time.

Schedule Regular Touch-Ups

Foil highlights typically need refreshing every 8–10 weeks. Balayage can go 12–16 weeks. We'll help you set a schedule that keeps your look fresh.
