Before Your Appointment

Start with Clean, Dry Hair

Arrive with freshly washed hair and no heavy conditioner or styling products. Clean hair ensures better adhesion and a longer-lasting install.

Avoid Conditioner on the Roots

For tape-in or bonded extensions, conditioning close to the root prior to installation can weaken the bond. Focus conditioner on your mid-lengths and ends in the days before your appointment.

Plan for 2–4 Hours

Installation time varies by method and the amount of hair. Plan for 2–4 hours so you're not rushed—we'll confirm the time estimate during your consultation.

After Your Appointment

Wait 48 Hours Before Washing

Give bonds or tape time to fully set before exposing them to water. This helps ensure a secure, long-lasting installation.

Use Extension-Safe, Sulfate-Free Products

Sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners are gentler on extension bonds and help them last longer. Avoid applying conditioner directly on the bonds or tape.

Brush Gently, from Ends Up

Always detangle from the ends upward using a soft-bristle or loop brush. Brushing from the root down can pull on bonds and cause premature shedding.

Avoid Heat Directly on Bonds

When using hot tools, keep them away from the extension attachment points. Excessive heat on bonds can weaken them and reduce the life of your extensions.

Schedule Adjustments Every 6–8 Weeks

As your natural hair grows, extensions shift. Adjustment appointments reposition and tighten them to maintain a seamless look and protect your natural hair.
